”So, you just released one album this year. Why are you rush to release another album since that album took you two years?” Diomond.
”Some of the songs from this album was for album, ‘Gold’. It was a few days ago when I was doing music composition practices, I did a piece which I feel can be an intro. Thereafter, I went through some of the old productions and realized that it is not ‘Gold II’ but a new album,” Keyman.
”Interesting, so is the album done yet?”
”I believes we are almost there. I will say at least 75% done.”
”So, how did you come up with the title of the album?”
”It is more like why some of the songs were not selected for ‘Gold’. When our team was screening for song selection, yes we select after production, we cut those off because the main principle of the album ‘Gold’. ‘Gold’ is more about ideology and freedom, how I view certain ideology and how I exercise it. ‘Possession’ is about personal entanglement. Something happened between two or multiple parties. More about different layers and feelings of possession. Or can be something like, ‘how does it feel to be possessed?’”
”So, is there a song named ‘Possession’ from the album?”
”No, since I am thinking about writing it now.”
”So, is there any of the songs’ name settled?”
“Yes, but I rather keep it as a secret or only tell you the name of the intro song, ‘I leave my soul’.”
”Tell us about that song.”
”Sure, on that day when I was doing my composition practices, I just listened to Madonna’s new song ‘I feel so free’,” Keyman continued, “the beginning of the song , she was like reading a poem. I feel it actually a bit too slow so I sang on it. And then I felt, ‘wow, the composition is very new, old, and accurate’. My composition method was learnt from Faye Wong, a famous Hong Kong artist. I usually do instrumental first and then plug the notes. Surprisingly, I could not make notes based on the instrument or somewhat I could. So I did two tracks, one for read, one for song, and it is Jazz Indie Dancing Song.”
”Wow, interesting. How about, what’s the main principle of the lyrics?”
”It was a song about one day when you wake up, you totally forget who you are and feel FREE,” Keyman South.
