Indeed, the separation of power also mirrors why Police Power makes sense. When I first heard of this phrase in law school, I was kind of feeling funny about it because superficially, I would feel it was about the police’s power and how he can achieve in a given criminal case, locally.

Imagine the police makes the rules since it is the part of the government.
Imagine city counsel makes the rules, since it is the city.

Police power has its thing until I moved to Virginia because it is not about the authority. It is about the local population.
The judges do not like to be seen as the jurors but when a Texas judge tested my legal knowledge and a NJ judge required me to have brief on a case, then I realized that, Police Power.
I really wanted to tell my client to move to a liberal state in a period of my legal profession time but I realized that the consequences cannot be more severe than me going to jail.
Now, I remain open book while acknowledging the “Police Power”.
It is not a gang thing, it is about, knowing where you are at. You can take a train to the New Amsterdam in 2 hours but always cannot not remember how expensive it is.
But my suggestion is, go see the world, and then you may realize that, your current input, is more expensive than ever.
When me, an attorney with a licence can practice Immigration law anywhere in the United States, of course, I recognize, the “Police Power”.
