“Crazy God Mother II”, Chapter 5.1, “I am leaving you”

“When you are leaving someone, you cannot tell the person. What if, he believes it?” Me.

I still remember the moment that I left the United States and experiencing my life in Paris. It somewhat makes me believe that I am still in the United States.

After friends with Boshi, I had some friends who speak French, but I never talk to them in French.

“Oh, it is just weird that I am scared of creating another personnel,” I told my brother Andrew who is a young lawyer of the family.

“So, sis, comme tu t’Ilamas?” I spoke to Indira while visiting her office.

“That’s Spanish,” Indira.

“Why don’t you believe me that my French is so good? Let me show you?” Me.

And then I called one Boshi’s friend and then totally just repeated what I tried to remember and showed Indira that I can take part of the mission as well.

Again, being her spy can be an interesting task plus I may be able to know what truly happened to Jila besides part of the story that I heard from.

“So, do you think it is morally right to just carry everything and leave alone?” Indira questioned me with a harsh tone while still mad at me keeping god mother’s secret.

The question for her is more like why she believes that I am the only one that God Mom told that she is still alive and at the same time she seriously does not want me to repeat again the script I learnt from soap pop, “I think she just wants to give you time to be a true leader.”

I told Indira what I found out about Jila and how my view was totally changed now, “you know before Jila told me a story, a bookkeeper of the company was supposed to pay $ 15,000 to the travel agency and the entire company can go to Thailand for the company trip. The entire company was planning to leave the following Monday and the bookkeeper took all the money on Friday and ran to Canada.”

Indira, “that happened a long time ago.”

“But do you think it did not even happen? I think she made that up and she continued saying something like that after a few months, she called back and crying.”

Indira, “so?”

“I believe it did not happen. I think both of us were fooled by the test of whether we believed it or not. The next thing was her ex-husband who has mental health issue went to the company and looked for her but she ran away alone. I think both of them are in the U.S. now.”

Indira, “I still don’t see the relevance.”

“Jila did not tell me the entire story. I think it was the company’s plan to make the person go and see what can happen next. The ticket cannot not be booked in advance and she knew her husband cannot take care of the daughter. Plus, western countries back then in India was not really a thing, like somewhere when you go you go to the paradise. It is for me now more like rebuild one’s life or exhausting all the old mode,” Me.

Indira, “so?”

“I think God mom was trying to redo a life in Turkey, or Berlin,” me.

How to become a spy? To watch how spies perform their work.

Since when I am in the United States, by searching one’s number can lead to one’s residential address, I don’t really ask how they are able to locate God mom or the places she may live.

I flew to Berlin just to see whether it is possible and the area God Mom chose was very low key and surrounding by diverse ethnicities but majority is still white.

Jila I believe in Berlin too but I let her go since I told Indira that, “either she can purchase a lot of properties and rent it out to see whether it will work or she just enroll some schools but I don’t really think that far now.”

Indira, “so what did you see today?”

After one week, I reported to Indira about my trip.

“I have not seen her yet and she has not called me with the disposable phone for like two weeks. So, what’s your ultimate goal?” Me.

“To make her have a conversation and ask her to go back to her old life,” Indira.

“I think the distance is safer now,” Me.

“Yeah, I thought you want to be part of it because of him,” Indira.

“A tiny little bit but more of how his team can lead me to at least know Jila’s situation. My theory is that I just need to know a little bit and that’s it,” Me.

Jila’s daily routine in Berlin is very interesting. In the morning, she would go to the class to learn German and in the evening, she will do some housekeeping work. I was told that she wears masks all the time.

I wonder if someone takes eye on her as well as 2 million dollars are a lot but if you count the money laundry real estate situation, it can be one overlook deal.

“Hi, I need your help,” Jila.

“Let’s take a trip to Europe,” Jiagua.

“I have made the decision. I don’t think I can continue my life in India. Times up,” Jila.

“Ok, I will find you some contact,” Jiagua.

Twp suitcases handled to a person, one card is exchanged. I guess the trust from relationship can make you believe that with one credit card, it can be automatically renewed always plus an empty debit card which you can move the balance with your name on it.

Jila arrived in Berlin and on the same week, 1.5 million dollars shown on her German bank account.

“Wow, mom, good job,” I made an anonymous harassment call to Jila, and I hung up after the four words.

Guess like the old words say time flies and a phone call between five-year gap can feel just like one second.
